The history of Polestar stretches back much further than one might think. As early as 1996, the car tuner made its mark, particularly in the Scandinavian touring car championship. It would be decades before Volvo acquired the company. And forgive the cliché, but the rest is history. Today, Polestar isn't merely a Volvo spinoff but a distinct brand with its own characteristics and ambitions, despite the fact that much of Volvo's stylish DNA is still visible.

A polestar 2 charging

Now, without further ado about Polestar trivia and toning down my enthusiasm a bit, you're likely reading this article because you've just purchased a Polestar or because you have an exceptional employer who provides you with a Polestar company car, lucky you. Either way, you probably need a home charger for your Polestar 2, 3 or 4. So, I'd like to present you with some home chargers and partners recommended by the oracles at Polestar. Additionally, I'll distinguish between the North American, British, and European markets for your convenience.

ChargePoint Home Flex (US)

The ChargePoint Home Flex stands out as the top option for (North) American Polestar drivers. This isn't only due to the excellent hardware they offer, but also because they provide a one-stop solution for home charger installation. All you need to do is click here, and you'll be guided through the entire process, soon having a home charger mounted on your wall.

Pod Point (UK)

If you fancy driving your Polestar on the wrong side of the road, Polestar's direct recommendation for a Polestar 2 charger in the UK is Pod Point. A significant argument for Pod Point is that the Pod Point Solo S is prepped for solar panel power supply. With solar panels now more affordable than ever and their installation skyrocketing, taking control of your own power supply has never been easier. So, if you have some square meters free on your roof, that small additional investment is more than worth it.
